We’ve been around since the mid-1500s, which means we’ve seen more pints poured and stories told than we can count (and yes, the ghost in the loo is real… we reckon he was a plumber, still hanging about to check the pipes). Back in the day, we were a busy coaching inn where travellers rested their horses in the stables you can still spot today. These days, we’re less about horses and more about hearty food, proper pints, and good company.
Refurbished in 2017, The King’s is now buzzing again with live music, BBQs, festival fun, and the occasional fiercely contested darts match. Our chefs cook up proper pub grub with a posh twist, using meat from Perrys (right next door), eggs from just up the road, and veg from Wolverhampton — all fresh, all local, all delicious.
So whether you’re here for the history, the food, the events, or just to see if you can catch our ghost tinkering with the taps, you’ll find a warm welcome waiting inside.
